So. Although the last entry pretty much makes explicit I've sent off my UCAS, I didn't actually go through all the shit that happened, did I? Time for a slightly more in-depth recap!

It's been a while since the last TCD entry, wouldn't you say? And oh boy, do I have an update for you. There's angst! There's excitement! There's cursing Biology's very name! (Although really, the latter isn't much of a surprise, considering the A-Level Biology course. "Fuck Biology" has been my refrain since about September.)

The A-Level Options Saga has pretty much ended: i.e. I won't be doing anything to it until half term, unless something very unexpected happens. I might write another epilogue for it at the end of Year 12 or something, but that's unlikely.

It's happening--for the first half term, at least. There are clashes in timetables, but the teachers don't mind about those as long as I "show the dedication needed" and make up for everything in my spare time. If, after the first half term, it hassn't worked out, then I'll go back to an all-Wallington subject, like German.

Okay. Seven As (including in Physics and Maths, wtf), three Bs, three Cs. The Cs were in doss subjects, though, so I'm not upset as I could be. However, two of the Bs were in German and Latin. Oh dear.

Basically, this means saying goodbye to Cambridge, for undergraduate level at least. I'm...not exactly happy about that, but I think I'll survive. ( Read more... )

Why Tuesday? Because Tuesday is Results Day, or the day that may well make or break The Cambridge Dream. Also, the Fearon's going to be there, and I'm Using Too Many Capitals.

So, you know I got a letter from school telling me I was, in fact, doing Latin at Fisher? My Latin teacher told me to get my parents to ring Fisher up just in case.

Thank God they did. Turns out nothing is in place at all, and once again Classics is in peril.
